Main Test: Saturday, June 1st, 11:00 am.                      NO CLASSES all day starting 11:00 a.m.                                  

                                    11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Testing for Yellow, Green Stripe and Green Belt

                                    12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Testing for Blue Stripe, Blue, Red Stripe, Red Belt

Please come in early to change and fill out evaluation forms.

Holiday Closing – Memorial Day

We will be closed from Friday May 24 until Monday May 27th.  Classes will resume on the Tuesday May 28th. 

West Side Taekwondo will be closed on Monday February 18th for President’s Day.

West Side Taekwondo will be closed on Monday January 21st, 2019 for MLK Day.

December Holiday Closing

West Side Taekwondo will be closed for the winter holiday from Sunday December 23rd, 2018 till Tuesday January 1st, 2019 and will reopen on Wednesday January 2nd, 2018. 

Note: Saturday December 22 Sparring class at 1:30 p.m. will not be held. The dojang will close at 1:30 p.m.

Pee Wee Test (4/5)

 On Saturday, December 8th at 10:00 a.m., we will be holding this semester’s Pee Wee Belt Test. (There will be no regular classes on that day).  This will be the perfect time for you to see the results of your child’s hard work over the last 13 weeks of Taekwondo.  The test should last approximately 40 minutes, and we would like to begin on time, so please arrive early.  Following the test, your child will receive a new belt for his or her uniform.  There is a $20 test fee for the test, and we ask you to submit it with the Promotion Test Application.  This is a wonderful photo opportunity, so bring your cameras!   If you/your child are unable to make the December 8th test date, please call to arrange for a private test with your child’s instructor.

 For those white belt students who have all their stripes, including two black stripes, West Side Taekwondo will be offering a special test before the December test on Saturday November 17th at 12:30 p.m.  Please turn in the application with the test fee of $60.00 by Friday November 16th.

 Double Black Stripe Seminar November 3rd from 3:00 – 4:30 pm.

 The next Double Black Stripe seminar will be held on Saturday, November 3rd from 3:00 – 4:30 pm, and will cover forms, basics and sparring.   We will also conduct a pre-test for all students planning to take the Black Belt test in 2018 or 2019. Warm-up Jackets

 Due to the popular demand for the warm up jackets, West Side Taekwondo will be taking an order of the Adidas Tiro 17 jackets.  They come in men’s and women’s designs and adult and youth sizes.  The new design will be all red.  The cost is $110.00 and it includes your name in the front of the jacket and all the embroidery in the back and front.  Please speak to Master Lim for what will surely make a great Gift.

 Deadline is Saturday October 20th, 2018.

We will be closed from Friday August 31st until Monday September 3rd for Labor Day Weekend.  Classes will resume on the Tuesday September 4th with the fall schedule. 

Summer Belt Test

 Tuesday August 28th at 6:30 p.m.  NO EVENING CLASSES. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO SATURDAY TEST THIS TESTING PERIOD.

Please turn in all application and fees by Monday August 27th.

We will be closed from Monday July 2nd till Sunday July 8th.  Classes will resume on Monday July 9th with the start of the Summer Schedule. 

 Please take all your belongings from the locker rooms and empty the lockers.  We will bE throwing out all equipment and uniforms that are left in the lockers and in the locker rooms.

West Side Taekwondo will be open on Easter Sunday 4/1/18

Due to inclement weather, West Side Taekwondo will be closed on Wednesday 3/21/2018.  Classes will resume on Thursday 3/22/18.

Double Black Stripe Seminar – Saturday February 10, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.

On Saturday February 10th, from 3:30-5:00 pm West Side will conduct a pre-black test belt seminar for all Double Black Stripes. Attendance is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. There is no fee to attend this seminar.

Closed on President's Day 2/19/2017

We will be closed on Monday 2/19/2016 for President's Day.  Classes will resume on Tuesday 2/20.

West Side Taekwondo will be closed on Monday January 15th for MLK Day.

West Side Taekwondo will be closed on Thursday 1/4 due to inclement weather.

Girls/ Women’s Self Defense Seminar Saturday November 4th from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

"Regardless of age and experience, every woman can equip herself with the basics of self-defense.

 On Saturday, November 4th come join us from 3:30-5:30 pm for what promises to be a fun and informative self-defense seminar, taught by some of your very own West Side instructors! Designed for women and girls age 10 and up; you will learn valuable and practical self-defense and safety tools and techniques appropriate for the urban environment. Those attending are advised to wear comfortable clothing (t-shirt, shorts, sweats). Students and parents are allowed to bring guests. Participants will be required to fill out registration forms, which will be available at the seminar. Price for admission is $20.

We encourage as many of our female students to attend as possible!"

Fall Schedule

Please be aware that that fall schedule starts on Tuesday September 5th.   Pee Wee (4/5 year olds) also starts on Tuesday September 5th.

This Sunday's (7/16) class is cancelled.  Sunday classes will resume on 7/23/2017.

We will be closed from Friday June 30th till Wednesday July 5th.  Classes will resume on Thursday July 6th with the start of the Summer Schedule. 

Please take all your belongings from the locker rooms and empty the lockers.  We will be throwing out all equipment and uniforms that are left in the lockers and in the locker rooms. 

Belt Ceremony will be held on Tuesday June 13th at 6:30 p.m.  If you can not attend, the belt will be given on the following class.
