Master Bjarne Johanssen, many-time Denmark National and Olympic Team Head Coach and current coach of a dozen Danish National Team members, returned to West Side Taekwondo on Saturday April 11th and led an intense, informative, and immensely enjoyable 3-hour sparring class.  Team West Side and Master Johanssen and Team Denmark have enjoyed a strong relationship through the years.  In 2001 and 2002, Master Johanssen and Team Denmark visited West Side Taekwondo on 2 separate training trips during which West Side’s elite competitors and other national level fighters from the NYC region had the opportunity to train with Team Denmark.

Here are some pictures of Master Johanssen at the dojang.  West Side was also honored by the presence of Master Sherland Flores (former National Team Member and current Coach of Trinidad & Tobago) and Master Chinedum Osuji (former National Team Member and 2004 Olympia from Trinidad & Tobago).
