Mr. Aaron Edell

Mr. Edell began training in Tae Kwon Do with Master Roger Carlon at the age of 5 in 1988 at West America Tae Kwon Do in Mill Valley, California. Mr. Edell went on to compete in several tournaments winning 2nd place at the all Karate Nationals in 1992 and winning a gold medal in 2000 at the Friendship Tournament. Edell has been an avid filmmaker since childhood with a strong focus in martial arts fight choreography. His martial arts movies were screened in film festivals in the San Francisco bay area where they became so popular that they were picked up for a weekly television show in 2001. Edell went to Hampshire College in Massachusetts where he majored in film making and pre-medical studies. Edell has directed and produced several award winning documentary and narrative films since graduating and continues to do so today. He began training at West Side Taekwondo in March of 2005 and received his first degree black belt from there in June of 2009 and his second degree black belt in December 2011. Although Aaron is a film producer by night, he works during the day as a solutions architect for a company that sells video content management systems.
