West Side Taekwondo Closed for Fourth of July Weekend

Holiday Closing – FOURTH OF JULY

We will be closed from Friday June 30th till Wednesday July 5th.  Classes will resume on Thursday July 6th with the start of the Summer Schedule. 

Please take all your belongings from the locker rooms and empty the lockers.  We will be throwing out all equipment and uniforms that are left in the lockers and in the locker rooms.

Please note the schedule for our next promotion tests and belt ceremonies:

Main Test: Saturday, Mar. 4, 11:00 am.            NO CLASSES all day starting 11:00 a.m.                   

                                    11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Testing for Yellow, Green Stripe and Green Belt

                                    12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Testing for Blue Stripe, Blue, Red Stripe, Red Belt

                                    1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Testing for Single Black Stripe, Double Black Stripe                                                                         Belt

                                    2:00 p.m.  Testing For Black Belt and Above

Please come in early to change and fill out evaluation forms.                 

Week-Day Test:            Tuesday, Mar. 7, 6:30 pm                       NO EVENING CLASS.

Belt Ceremony:            Tuesday, Mar. 14, 6:30 pm                     NO EVENING CLASS.  

Please fill out the Testing Application and submit it along with your promotion test fee to the front office.  To ensure our parents and guardians are fully engaged in our young students' training, each child candidate under the age of 16 must submit a Parent's/Guardian's Testing Permission Sheet, filled out and signed by a parent or guardian.  Thank you for your cooperation.  All test application and fees are due by Friday Mar. 3

We will be closed for Thanksgiving Weekend beginning Wednesday, November 23 - Sunday, November 27.  We will reopen for class on Monday, November 28.

Pee Wee Test (4/5)

On Saturday, December 10th at 10:00 a.m., we will be holding this semester’s Pee Wee Belt Test. (There will be no regular classes on that day).  This will be the perfect time for you to see the results of your child’s hard work over the last 13 weeks of Taekwondo.  The test should last approximately 40 minutes, and we would like to begin on time, so please arrive early.  Following the test, your child will receive a new belt for his or her uniform.  There is a $20 test fee for the test, and we ask you to submit it with the Promotion Test Application.  This is a wonderful photo opportunity, so bring your cameras!   If you/your child are unable to make the December 10th test date, please call to arrange for a private test with your child’s instructor.

Belt Test / Labor Day Weekend Closing

Summer Belt Test

 Tuesday August 30th at 6:30 p.m.  NO EVENING CLASSES. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO SATURDAY TEST THIS TESTING PERIOD.

Please turn in all application and fees by Monday August 29th.

West Side Taekwondo Double Black Stripe Seminar May 21 at 3:30 p.m.

Double Black Stripe Seminar May 21st from 3:30 – 5:00 pm.

 

The next Double Black Stripe seminar will be held on Saturday, May 21 from 3:30 – 5:00 pm, and will cover forms, basics and sparring - please bring your sparring equipment.  We will also conduct a pre-test for all students planning to take the Black Belt test in 2016.  If you cannot attend, please contact Master Lim ([email protected])
